UCITS Hedge Funds on the Rise; peaking at EUR 129 Billion
As reported by Alix Capital, a New York - Geneva based investment company, UCITS Hedge Funds AUM increased by 7.5% in the second quarter of 2012, totaling an increase of 18.3% in the last 12 months.
The global number of funds increased from 765 to 776 between end of March 2012 and end of June 2012 respectively. This resulted from the introduction of sixteen new funds and the closure of four other funds. CTAs and Macros were the two most promising strategies.
France, Luxembourg and Ireland persist as the most popular domiciles for UCITS Hedge Funds.
