EXANTE, the leading Hedge Fund Marketplace, has just listed Oracle Investment Fund SPC onto its platform. The strategy utilized by Oracle Investment Fund SPC focuses on structured credit opportunities and related liquid market trading opportunities, using a variety of approaches including value investing, arbitrage, directional trading and predatory trading.
The primary driver of returns are trading positions in a wide variety of structured credit products, credit derivative index tranches and listed credit funds. In addition, the fund actively trades in liquid markets, particularly credit derivative index and equity index related products such as swaps, futures and options, and trades single name corporate CDS. The fund takes directional positions, rather than adopting a relative value approach, and varies its exposure in response to market conditions, and while generally it has been positioned long since inception, it has on occasion run net short and frequently flat in macro risk terms. The emphasis is on being an absolute return fund, rather than a ‘structured credit opportunities’ fund.
Oracle was incorporated in Hong Kong in May 2010 and it was established with the purpose of creating a new asset management business run by the company’s founders, Leon Hindle and Fredric Teng. Whilst the focus is global, their presence in Asia gives an access to a unique set of opportunities. Their performance has been recognized with awards such as New Fund of the Year 2011 by AsiaHedge, Best Fixed Income/Credit Fund 2012 by The Asian Investor, Best Fixed Income Fund 2012/Asia Pacific by World Finance and Best Newcomer Asia Pacific (2 year track record) by HFM.
Oracle Structured Credit Segregated Portfolio 2, the main fund offering was launched in November 2010. Units of the Fund are available for trading on EXANTE's ATP as of today.
