EXANTE joins business delegation to Montenegro

Last week the President of Malta, H.E. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca paid a formal call to the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dusko Marković. EXANTE’s co-founder Gatis Eglitis, as one of the key representatives of the Maltese business community, supported the delegation which also included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of sustainable development and environmental protection.

The visit coincided with a notable period of strengthening political and overall relations between the two countries, that will thereafter lead to a stable collaboration in the areas of renewable energy, agriculture and tourism. 'The excellent bilateral relations between the two countries will be incentive for future economic cooperation and progress in this area, which is already achieved through a series of completed protocols and the memoranda,' the Deputy Prime Minister said.

President Preca hanked the hosts for the warm welcome and noted that for the past two decades Montenegro proved to be a responsible regional partner of Malta in the Western Balkans. She also marked the success of the government in implementing the principles of democracy at all levels.

EXANTE representative Gatis Eglitis also shared his ideas concerning the importance of cultivating the bonds between the two countries. ‘It is known that small countries, such as Malta and Montenegro strongly keep their social values and overall stability,' said Gatis. He added, ‘As a company who has adopted Malta as our headquarters we see the huge potential in maintaining relationship with our european and global neighbours as EXANTE is reaching out to new markets’.
